I have already pre-purchased airline tickets to go on a short vacation somewhere and I recieved my summons to jury duty in the mail yesterday. It just so happens that it falls on the same day I will be out of state. Is this a legit reason not to go?

I walk and take the bus. Usually take the bus in the morning and walk in the afternoon. Not fun having to walk 30 minutes in cold weather everyday. But I really despise taking the bus after school.
