It depends on the song and the type of music. There are some songs that I can just listen to over and over, and do. I think it also depends on my mood.
If it is a song that I can sing to (badly) at the top of my lungs, I listen to it over and over and over. If it is a song that makes me cry, I usually can't or won't listen to it more than twice in a row. If it is a song I love, or one of my "feel-good" songs, there probably isn't a limit. If there is, I haven't found it yet... ;-)

If I like it enough to not be able to get enough of it, or if it's a song we have to learn, for whatever reason the song is heard 1000 times in a row, it simply becomes part of me and if we (or the band) play a song enough times I can't even tell you if I like the song or not anymore. It just IS.

Well, if it's "Tiptoe Through The Tulips", I can't even make through one play, before I start screaming.
If it's Vince Gill's "Go Rest High Up On That Mountain".
it takes about twice to get my eyes to water. If it's Bon Jovi's "Wanted Dead Or Alive", each play gets louder. The only thing it breaks is my neighbor's ears.

well, it depends on the song... if I like it, then it can be played over and over... if not, then I can only get through 30 seconds of the song! :-)

I played Dido's first album to death in about two weeks... I can honestly say that I can't listen to her now without feeling sick. I fear John Legend is going the same way.
