I prefer to travel by train than by bus. It is more comfortable and view is better.

Yes, many times, for short trips (< 6 hrs). Much better than taking a bus! Less hassle than flying (short trips) also.

Also the Snow Train.
Trains are a blast, good dining car, good people to talk to, great sightseeing.
