I don't listen to many bands/singers with female voices, my iTunes is basically all males.
And then paramore comes along and I love them.

Anyway, heres a list of the female voices I listen, tell us yours. And if your iTunes is made up of male voices too.

Hi!

I am a music teacher who is supposed to teach my high school music students to writing English songs.

I really like the style of Schubert's lieder and is encouraging my students to learn from his use of harmony, piano texture, etc.

However, I can't really use Schuber's songs to teach them about English text setting (as his songs are in German!).

In your opionion, which composer has written songs similar in style to Schubert but in ENGLISH?

Please help. Thank you.

My friend took me to a concert and they played Beethoven's 9th Symphony. It drug on forever. And what's up with the choir toward the end? It sounded like a bunch of cats in heat. I mean I know the guy was blind, but was he deaf too? Didn't he listen to what he wrote?
