That is Sonata in G major the "alla polacca-Andantino" movement by Juliane Reichardt who composed during the classical period (1752-1783). She was the daughter of composer Georg Anton Benda and the wife of composer Johann Friedrich Reichardt.

See if this link will get you there (track 2):

Hope this helps.

As del_icious_manager said, it does sound somewhat like Bach, but I'm not convinced that it is, although it might be. I don't know who it is though.

It's in e-flat minor, if that helps you at all! hehe

EDIT: Ahhh, we have an answer!!!

I wasn't completely wrong about the key...lol....it's the second movement, therefore in the relative minor (e minor) then with baroque tuning it SOUNDS like e-flat minor! aren't I smart?? haha

I admit bits of it sound quite like Bach but it isn't Bach. It's played on a Classical fortepiano and there'd be no point at all in playing Baroque music on one of those (cos they would have only had harpsichords). I've not heard it before and don't recognise the style particularly. I'd guess it's a Classical piece looking back at the Baroque so I'd say late 18th-century (doesn't sound like Mozart but might be one of his contemporaries).

Sorry I can't be more help.

I agree. Maybe something from the French Suites or one of the little preludes and fugues.
