I heard that he Americanized the spelling of his first name from Yngwie, to Engwie. And that he has a project in the works with the 'The Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra'

Alice is a bonafide musical genius who inspired hundreds of rock bands (some of whom are in the Hall of Fame even though they aren't nearly as good as him). He's recorded at least 12 A+ quality albums and his other 15 albums are at least B+ or higher (not including Easy, Dada, Zipper, Flush, and Raise Yer Fist). On his 12 best, every single song on each album is great...no filler (the Rolling Stones will put 3 good songs and 10 boring songs on their albums and they made the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame long ago). He was the biggest rock star in the world for 3 years. Sinatra performed his songs. John Lennon loved his work. Somehow I can't see Ol' Blue Eyes recording No Sleep till Brooklyn. Yes, the four Beastie Boys (that's right there are FOUR of them, not 3) do put out interesting instrumentals too, but they are being nominated for their rap music which is juvenile, childish, and geared for their moronic audience. Madonna, Chic, and Donna Summer are NOT rock n roll acts.

Is there two different versions of this song? There was a lot of people complaining about all the mention of "suicide" in the song, and since then, when i hear it on the radio hes saying "in denile" rather than "suicide". Did he make two different versions using both words? Or whats that about?

I absolutely hate these "favorite songs" questions, but I'm braindead and jamming to KISS as I type this.

Correlate that as you will.

Mine, in no particular order :

"100,000 Years"
"Deuce"
"Mr. Speed" (LOVE the demo version from the box set)
"I Confess"
"A Million To One"
"Shock Me"
"Watchin' You"
"Hard Luck Woman"
"Every Time I Look At You"
"Detroit Rock City"

On page 5 of Une Barque Sur l'ocean by Ravel, there is this measure where the left hand plays argeggios and the right hand plays something like a trill ( thirty-second notes). The rhythm is VERY incoherent at this point and Ravel simply switches from triplets to thirty second notes. it's VERY confusing. Should I play the right hand like a trill, but keep it at a reasonable tempo or I should make sure it goes with the left hand? I AM DESPERATE. I can somehow keep the rhythm strict but it's gonna take soooooo much time.

Before I start, I would like to say that I am black. I dont listen to hip hop nor do I feel it makes me less "black" because I dont. I think thats one of the problems when it comes to hip hop music. I mean, The hip hop thats on the tv now. I creates this stereotype about african americans that are not true. But the problem is even african americans (the majority of them) is starting to believe the lie and as a result the lie is becoming the truth. Thus now, this is how the world sees us. I believe that rap is a form of poetry but when taken to the media, it creates this false view of african americans. and the ones that follow the stereotype is doing more damage then actually helping. Lets define the culture, and not let the culture define us. Am i wrong on this view? what do you guys think?

I'm into all kinds of music and am really into depressing songs lately...
I'm compiling a mix cd that just has some of the saddest songs, musically AND lyrically.
Some are The Cure - To Wish Impossible Things
Last Days of April - The Days I Recall Being Wonderful
Stabbing Westward - Why
The Smiths - Please, Please, Please, Let Me Get What I Want.

Judging by some of those styles, can anyone recommend other songs/artists I should check out and consider for my ultimate sad emo mix? Thanks in advance!

There was a song that I heard back in the late 80's. All me and my friend can remember, is that the song had the words "I don't want to be alone, I said I don't want to be alone, don't wanna be lonely"
