Hey there my friend. I would have to say All Apologies, Pennyroyal Tea, or Something In the Way by Nirvana. All of those songs have mixed emotions and messages about ending you're life, trying to say sorry, or just all around not being able to go on with you're life because its too tragic and lonely. Cobain was very depressed obviously, but if you listen to Unplugged in NYC or watch it live, you can just see/feel his pain and agony. Those are all very good yet very sad songs. Thanks a ton,
-Jon

Eleanor Rigby - The Beatles
When I was very young, that song made me really, really sad. Now, the novelty has worn off, but it's still pretty depressing.
Hopeless Bleak Despair - They Might Be Giants
So let me explain the plot of this song. One day "hopeless bleak despair" which is somewhat personified in this song, attaches to this guy and his life gets ruined. His family leaves him, he loses his job, etc. It stays with him his whole life. He is very sad. But, in the chorus, every time it says "But then, one day, it disappeared." So you're thinking maybe there's a hope for this guy. But then, at the end of the song it says that the way it disappeared was when this guy died and went to hell, but his despair went to heaven. However, he's absolutely thrilled at this. Pretty depressing if you ask me.

Cemetery Drive by My Chemical Romance
It's really sad. I think it's about a girl and a guy, they fall in love. The girl ends up engaging someone else. Then the guy is so heart broken. Then on her wedding day she goe's into the bathroom ans shoots herself in the head. I think thats what the story is about.
This night.
Walk the dead in a style and crash the cemetery gates.
In the dress your husband hates.
Way down.
Mark the grave.
Where the searchlights find us drinking by the mausoleum door.
And they found you on the bathroom floor.
I miss you,I miss you,so far.
and the collision of you kiss that made it so hard.
Back home.
Off the run.
Singing songs the make you slit your wrists.
It isn't that much fun.
Staring down a loaded gun.
So I won't stop dying.
Won't stop lying.
If you want i'll keep on crying.
Did you get whatt you deserve?
Is this what you always want me for?
I miss you, I miss you.
So far.
And the collision of you kiss that made it so hard.
Made it so hard.
Way down, way down, way down....
You can find this music video on YouTube. They made a SIMS version of it. It makes it even more sad.

Its Hard to Say- The Used
Who Knew- P!nk
Adam's Song- Blink 182
Emotionless- Good Charlotte
Blurry- Puddle of Mudd
Somewhere- Within Temptation
With all of those songs you need to understand the meaning/been through somthing that relates to the song to find it sad, like with Emotionless by Good Charlotte I find it to be sad because my father left my mother and I without a word when I was younger, so I relate to Benji, and Joel with that subject so it hits a soft spot with me and makes me rather sad.

Riot Van- Arctic Monkeys.
Before you start with the thumbs-down's, here's some lyrics:
"Pinched a car with one headlight,
lost control the passengers were screaming.
Made him shut his eyes reet tight,
think of you and hope that he was dreaming.
Then up rolls the riot van and called the fire brigade,
but it was already too late,
and there was no arrest to make."
