I ask this because I remember one radio station that used 2 play oldies, i.e. Beatles, Elvis, Motown artists, etc. That station changed 4mats a few years ago, & now in Bakersfield, there r no oldies stations. The only poplar music I hear on terrestrial radio that's old is either classic rock or old school. Thus, I presumed that the oldies listenership, perhaps older then the baby boomers, r dying off. Is that a valid hypothesis? Has a diminishing # of listeners killed off the oldies station here in a small-town market like Bakersfield, & is it doing the same in similar cities (e.g. Council Bluffs, Knoxville, Duluth, Las Cruces, etc.)? & r the large-market cities also vulnerable?

My grandmother told me a nice little story about it being a protest song from the 60s about the new housing somewhere around San Francisco. She was living there around that time, but didn't know much more... anyone else know who sang it and what it's all about?

I love that song. Very catchy.

if any of you live in southern california, you may have heard about megan myers, a freshman at dana hills high who died yesturday from causes unkown. she was a close friend of my sisters, and we are all making flyers to put in our binders and lockers and stuff, but they are kind of empty, we want to put maybe a few lines from a song on their, is there any lyrics or sayings anyone knows?
thank you and please pray for megan and her family as this is very hard on them.
