One of the most underrated rock bands ever, not just a bubble gum pop band as all the above answers would suggest. Most of the B sides were classic rock, Burn on the Flame,Man from mecca,Rock and roll disgrace. All brilliant. The album Sweet Fanny Adams had no singles on it but is regarded as one of rocks classics. Check out Give us a wink too. As for my fav song The Healer or Burn on the flame.

Wigwam Bam or Little Willy. The Sweet were one of the best glam rock acts in my opinion. There was some very good music about in the Seventies - much better than the pap produced nowadays anyway.

Chrissy, It would have to be the 1973 number 1 hit 'Block Buster'. I know it's a bit obvious but the siren sound at the beginning still gives me goosebumps!
The recording sounds revolutionary for it's time and typifies that particular glam rock sound that preceded prog e.g. later Yes releases.
