I heard a song this morning and can't find it anywhere! It was electro-pop (sounded like Human League) and had male lead vocals ft. a female (British?) and the songs lyrics were something like "You don't have to be alone anymore" or something. Had a very club-y feel. Heard it on Clover Park radio station i-91 fm.

It's weird, but out of the many bands I listen to, certain ones seem more fitting during certain times in the year. For example, during the summer I seem to prefer Incubus, Catherine Wheel, Deftones, and The Doors. And during October I prefer Rob Zombie, Type O Negative, and Ozzy Osbourne. And then during the winter I seem to most enjoy U2 and Coldplay. Does anyone else have any groups that they prefer to listen to during certain times of the year?

ok so I don't have much to work with here but this was a fairly popular song in the 90's

it starts out with a bunch of duh duh duh duh duh duh duh duh....

and then its a girl singing and she talks about going and getting coffee and its only half full and before she has a chance to complain the man behind the counter is looking at someone out the window and she is pretending not to notice them kissing or something.

ugh if only i could remember one full line then I could get the song. Does anyone know what i'm talking about?

Which do you like better?

...for real, when rocking out on some kind of loud, awful, brutal stuff that no one else you know would consider fit to commit to CD (or vinyl... or tape...) do you ever stop for a moment and wonder...

"Man, *why* do I like this????"

I do.

I mean, I don't think there is anything wrong with me because I like it. But I do wonder what elements of being allow me to recognize such a diverse array of sounds as enjoyable music, since the average Western Civilisation citizen does not.

And then, there was the time when the Beatles were considered the awful noise, so you know what that means... eventually this is gonna be popular... and *then* what will be the cutting edge sounds of "music"?

I was watching Sky a couple fo weeks ago and I was doing a quick channel zapping and when i got tot the music channels there was a famous band (by famous it means that it could be metallica or guns and roses) and they were playing a really cool song and in the video clip they were at funeral. I wanted to know the name of that song if anyone knows using just those details as information about the band/song. I cant remember anything else because it was a while back but now I wanted to listen to the song again and can't find it anywhere.

Any info would be helpful.

Thank you

Mauro

With the exception of Pink Floyd's 'The Wall', most concept albums fall by the wayside pretty quickly. Even Queensryche's 'Operation : Mindcrime', which in my opinion, is one of the most brilliant concepts and amazing pieces of rock music ever recorded, launched with great mainstream success, but seems to have withered away to a niche audience.

I have my own theories as to why, but I would be interested in the thoughts of others on this.

In other words, have you ever been to an event or party where the music was so awful that you had to take over? If so, how did it work out? Were the results hilarious or disastrous? Once I was invited to this BBQ of a former boss that I didn’t particularly like much. It was all Hootie, all day and I just about lost my frigging mind. So I went to my car, pulled out Ministry –Filth Pig, and very nonchalantly snuck it into the player. The looks of horror were priceless. It likely hastened his retirement.

The first example I thought of was many of Metallica's fans turning on them because of their haircuts during the 'Load' era.
