*67 for tone lines (1167 for pulse lines) is the "block caller's information" phone feature/command. It will prevent the receiving phone number's caller ID from identifying the caller. It has to be done before you dial the number, but not all numbers allow it (i.e., many gov't offices can override that feature, for obvious reasons).

There is usually no charge for this, at least on land lines. I don't know whether cellphones allow this function or if a cost is involved. Consult your land or cellphone company to be certain.

it should be free.. from cell phones its free.. from home phone it depends on what service u have.. ive never been charged a fee... if ur home service even carries it... try it once and ull know.. lol
