Akon . . . T-Pain . . . Shop Boyz . . . D4L . . . Pretty Ricky . . . etc. etc. etc. etc. all these people have one thing in common . . . they all teamed up to murder Hip Hop. It kills me to listen to the radio and hear mutha****** singin their rap songs about clubs and bartenders or how they party. What happened?!?!?!? Is Hip Hop really a dance club now? The music they produce is not Hip Hop, it's pop music.
Then I heard this track called "Put me in the pocket" and I promise it made me want to run up to the radio station and . . .

Let me know what yall think . . .are artists like these responsible for murderin hip hop?

I recently had an audition with a band and was told they want someone with more experience. It's a little hard to take because I've always gotten positive feedback on my drumming, and I consider drumming to be a part of my identity. Of course I have only been playing about 4 and a half years, so I'm no seasoned professional. It just feels kind of rotten to get turned down. Any one have similar experiences, drummers or other musicians? How did you keep the rejection from getting you down?

Alot of people would consider death metal to be the heaviest thing ever, others find grindcore heavier, others are more scared by black metal, others by sludge...what is the heaviest type, and which bands best typify that?

I have been pondering this question for the past week or so. After careful scientific analysis, I have compiled a list of the absolute most horrific acts to have been given airplay by alternative radio since 1990. MCR blows away the competition with such classics like their Black Parade fiasco. I have heard better music coming from a toddler's toy piano than that garbage. Here is my list of the top ten worst bands since 1990. Unless you are NIN, having a numeral in your band name will almost always give you consideration for this list. 311 & Blink 182 just weren't quite bad enough to make the final cut.
