Green Day, Foo Fighters, Rage Against The Machine

I guess 20 + years doesn't count or I would have voted for the Chili Peppers.

Has anyone ever heard of this one? They're called Journey and I REALLY dont think they came about in the past 17 years, but their music is seriously EPIC, especially the guitar solos!

Oh and my dad's old band, Free Ride. Not in the last 17 years either, but he was pretty dern good. He's retired now though. And no they werent famous. But I think they almost were. Then I'd be the daughter of the leader of a famous band.

Also Panic! at the Disco and Red Jumpsuit Apparatus. I used to like Puddle of Mudd.

I think The White Stripes are pretty unique in comparison to most of the bands circulating around in the mainstream right now.. However, I don't really see any "next big thing", there doesn't seem to be anything that'll be held to such a high regard as bands like The Doors or anything like that.

i'd say in the past 17 years...

The Killers - They're amazing, a modern day queen if you ask me.
Kaiser Chiefs - It's obvious they will be around for years to come
Plus 44 - Blink 182 without Tom Delonge it's genious
Vevet Revolver - You can't leave Slash out of this
Nickelback - Might be a "dad rock" band, But they know how to put on a good show.
