Could anyone list me most if not all the well-known and popular classical used in many fictional works and media?

Classical such as:

Mozart - Requiem D minor
Beethoven - Fifth Syimphony in C minor
Carmina Burana - O Fortuna
Choppin - Valse E minor? major?

and so on....

I'm not a big fan of rap, i don't listen to it at all, i'm very picky when it comes to music. I hardly like anything. I'm tired of turning on the radio or a music channel on Tv just to find Rap. Do You think it will ever die out?

I prefer Peter Gabriel by far, although the first few post-Gabriel Genesis albums were rather good. ("A Trick of the Tail" comes to mind.)

Phil Collins was a spectacular drummer and he is a good singer, don't get me wrong, but I find his voice way too poppish-sounding for my taste.

Peter Gabriel pretty much was the heart and soul of Genesis, and no matter how oddly flamboyant he may have been in his lyrics and costumed/makeup'd stage theatrics, he truly was (and still is) unique, one of a kind, and every bit as much your "prog-rock singer archetype" as Jon Anderson of Yes, and Greg Lake of ELP.

That guy from the "Calling all Stations" flop was OK, but really didn't register with me, one way or another.

Anyway, your opinions please . . .

Pertaining to the original version. Who wrote it? Who sang it? (If not the writer). What year was it released? Was it inspired by a personal experience of the writer?

I would also like to know if the remake was by Pearl Jam or was it an Eddie Vedder solo? If an E.V. solo, did any other members of P.J. play on the cut? What year was this version released and what was the name of the album?

Complete answers to all of the questions gets immediately chosen, if not, most thorough answer before voting. (This question will not be left to the voters).

Sometimes I hear a song on the radio or something that just strikes a magical chord with me, and I can't find the name of the artist or the title. These are usually old songs or obscure songs. Does anyone have similar feelings?

Sometimes I get a chance to hear the song again and then it's like I found a golden nugget. Sometimes a popular band or singer will do a remake and then I get a chance to find the original artist and song, like the version of 'Last kiss' by Pearl Jam. I had heard the song before, maybe once or twice around the time a friend of mine died in a car crash (long before the Pearl Jam version) and then I didn't hear it again until Pearl Jam's remake.

My dad and I were working together one day and the P.J. version came on. My dad asked me "Who's this?" and I told him, "Pearl Jam, you know, that band you call 'headhunter music', but it might be a solo by the lead singer Eddie Vedder, so I heard. He went to get a couple of ice teas and put on the original.
