Randy Travis is one of my fav's too. I wish that a lot more country artist would come out with Gospel albums.

Great song, it's a shame to me that Randy Travis switched out of Country so it wasn't played as much.
Hey Chewie what about the Truck Driver? That part bothered me too but I think the goal was to go with Three wooden crosses as a symbolic thing to Christ being on a cross with the thieves on each side. Although I do like how the song doesn't assign blame. All you know is the driver never saw the sign and 18 wheelers can't stop on a dime. Never say WHICH driver didn't see the sign.

Great song, but a bit confusing.
In the beginning, you are led to believe that there are only three crosses because, although everyone was killed, someone thought the hooker was unworthy of a cross beside the highway. In the end you find out that there are only three, for the Farmer, the Teacher, and the Preacher, because the hooker lived and was changed to the point that she had a son who is now a Preacher himself.
My question is, what about the bus driver? Shouldn't there be a cross for him?

Its a good song by Randy Travis, but by far not his best... he has lots of other gospel songs that have it beat, and even better 80's country... he single-handedly brought back country music to mainstream when heavy metal was dominating the airwaves.

I LOVE THAT SONG!!! It is one of my all time favorites!! It has such a good meaning and such a good rythme!! I absolutly love that song
