Ear Training. I'm having trouble hearing the inversions. Music.?

Is there an easy way to hear the difference between 1st, 2nd, 3rd inversion triads? What about the seventh inversions. I'm having a test!!!

I heard this song in Wet Seal today and really liked it. They were talking about the other person being a liar but how nobody told them and that the other person is fooling everyone. It says the word "liar" a lot in the chorus and everything.

One of the lyrics is "how come nobody told me?" or something like that. I've looked it up and I can't remember much of anything.

It's sung by a guy, a band I assume, that resembles Jack's Mannequin or Fall Out Boy but for sure isn't one of them. Can someone help me out?
