There was a great country western song played on the radio a lot in the fall of 1996. I was living in Sacramento at the time. It was by a band with a female singer, and the words "Hail, California" were repeated throughout. I can't find the song under that title, however. The singer sounded kind of like Martina McBride. Can anyone help me identify this song? Thanks

I have a band teacher(woman) who is new to teaching band and sorry to say it but...she sucks at teaching...Anytime i ask her for help on a note she says find it yourself or practice it...then she gets mad when i do it wrong...she said if i need help,just ask, but HELLO!!!!!...why would i even bother asking for help if every time i ask her she says the same thing! My old band director was a EXPERT and was very into what he does. And plus she gives us crappy music to play. She just not "band teacher" material

OK. I've only seen it a few times in my life, but its ingrained in my memory. I think there was someone on horse back riding through a countryside (I think it may have been Ireland) and the person went to some shanty where there was a huge pile that resembled a tree stump, but a believe it was dryed dirt. At the end of the video water was poured over the dirt and a person emerged. I know this sounds very weird, but I think it was a very popular video. I'm sorry I don't remember the artist, name of the song or any lyrics, but hopefuly the description will help. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks!!!

They played it in a commercial break in the Oscars. It was such an awesome song! I cant think of anything else, other than the house rotated and it showed the family walking around and doing everyday things.
