I have been trying to find "the perfect song" that reminds me of a winter day. I want something that sounds soft, melodic, airy, what-have you not. (I'm not looking for any holiday themed songs.) Although words are okay to have in the song, I am generally looking for a song that doesn't have lyrics-something that could be understood and appreciated in all cultures and not have to be translated.

I have a few ideas already-I just want to see how many songs people can come up with so I can maybe see if I am on the right track. Does anyone have any suggestions? Any genre is okay. :)

It's so difficult, but if I had to respond with just one answer I'd have to say "She's Always A Woman". The lyrics and flow are brilliant. Gives me chills down my spine to this day. If I had more choices that lineup would include "She's Got A Way", "Don't Ask Me Why", "Travelin' Prayer", "You're My Home" and "Summer Highland Falls"...amongst others...:

I just started taking vocal lesson’s and I’ve been practicing drills periodically throughout the day. Im wondering how long it took you (Im expecting a somewhat experienced vocalist to answer this) to develop a legitimately good singing voice. Trust me Im not going to give up taking vocals no matter what responses I get. I asked a similar question when I started taking guitar lessons (a year ago) and Im still taking them. I just want to know how much effort I need to put into vocals. I don’t want to be embarrassed after taking four years of vocals and then start singing and people giving me negative insults. I feel like I never have a chance when I watch American Idol (Im never going on that show anyway) and the people say they have been taking vocals their wholes lives and then, well you know...

hey i listen to a lot of rap and reggae, and i grew up on reggae and soca and other caribbean music, i like reggaeton but its hard to keep up with new songs cus it doesn't play on the radio(unless its a crossover hit and the radio plays it a half year after it came out claiming its the newist shi+ out) and i dont have any hispanic connects lol, a website that has the newest songs would help Thanks
