yes rock music has sucked since after the 1950's in my opinion...since the coming of the Beatles. Back in the 1950's when it was still "rock and roll" and it was represented by solo artists like jerry lee lewis and Sam Cooke it was ok. But that John lennon crap started this whole wild rock band trend. Rock bands are usually deathly boring and their loudness does not make up for it. (it only makes them more obnoxious). There is no feeling in the music, it is just... bleah ! Fortunately rock is dying out now but i had to put up with that noise my entire childhood in the 80's. No one cares about this teen angst crap, people want music that makes them feel good. Deal with your issues and don't force the rest of the world to deal with them through that chaotic noise you call music. This genre has almost single handedly ruined the reputation of the guitar as an instrument. I repeat, post-50's rock is annoying untalented noise.

The guys voice is really deep, and it doesn't sound like he is singing at all. It's an 80s-90s song.

I'm one of those people who wasn't born with an amazing ear. I don't have perfect pitch, nor was I even born with a good sense of relative pitch. I've been studying voice for over four years now, and although my tonal quality, breath support, and range have improved and increased dramatically since starting, I still greatly struggle with pitch (namely finding harmony, but still occasionally melody).

Is this something that can be taught and I should still continue to work at it, or should I just accept a possible fact that some people were born with good ears and that I am just not one of them?

I'm an aspiring actor who would love to work in musicals, but I know my ear will probably be the one thing that will greatly hinder my progress in finding work. There are other things I also need to work on (always perfecting my craft, no?), but this one is probably the biggest hurdle I'm trying to jump, and I'm wondering if I am ever going to be able to get over it.

Thanks for any help!

as they pertain to vocals being used on a one time 'community' project?

I'm putting together a project which will include various vocalist from the area (as one group) for the purpose of a sound recording for compact disc.

I understand the royalties, publishing, and (for hire) guidelines, my question leans more towards the 'best' way to compensate these individuals. Approx. 10 tracks, will make up the work.

Asking them to simply 'volunteer' time is out of the question so if anyone has done anything similiar on a proffessional scale and has any idea on the most used and or best course of action here your help would be greatly appreciated.

Many moons ago on CMT Norah Jones did a video with Willie Nelson. I haven't seen it in a very long time and have drawn a blank as to what it was called or even about... I only remember throwing a fit every time it came on. Does anyone know?

Please tell me your opinion of this song I wrote, tell me if it's good, really good, or just not that great, or maybe it's good enough to be on a cd, what do ya think? ( the first stanza is verse, the next is chorus, and the one after that is verse also..

I Got a Plan

Baby do you know the dreams I have for you
Baby do you know I plan to make them all come true
Baby I can see the future in my mind
Never give up, it will just take some time

I got a plan
To make everything all right
I got a plan
I’m gonna make you happy
I got a plan
To make all your dreams real
I got a plan
Will you please take my hand?

Baby I know I’m not perfect but I’m doin my best
You’ll soon see I’m for real but time is the test
I really want this to last, everything we feel
Baby it won’t be long you’ll soon see I’m for real

This song took about 2 days to write

I like pop songs that are light and easy to dance to. Some artists that I enjoy are Ashley Tisdale, Gwen Stefani, Kelly Clarkson, Nelly Furtado, Clay Aiken, and A-Teens. Pretty much anything that is light with a fast tempo and is mind-numbingly shallow would be great.
