I want to be a singer and I am CRAZY talented in it but it's gonna be hard tryin to get my stuff out. I also would like to be an interior desiner or a fashion designer which I am also good at more likely to make it happen. But should I do what I have been dreaming of my whole life or something that will only be partially fullfilling? Help!

You only live once. Why do you want to live your whole life wondering what if you could have done what you really wanted to do? Your young, you can take these kinds of risks now. Follow your dream and never stear from the course, no matter how hard it gets. In the end it will pay off if you work hard enough.

By the way, if you want to make money in the music business, you must be good at writing songs. The songwriters are the ones that make the money, not the performers.

You should evaluate first if you really want to be a singer, or if you want to be "famous." If it's fame you seek, most are likely to fail. If you truly love to sing, and will be happy without fame or fortune, you're more likely to find success.

Also, if you're trying to do something you think you'd really love, you should ask yourself: would you still love it years down the road, even if it's tougher than you think (it is). In other words, if you're going to do something to make you "happy," make sure that you'll be happy unconditionally, even if there are many roadblocks that will come in your way. Remember, these types of dream jobs are very common, so many people are trying to pursue what you are. Competition for singers & fashion designers is incredible. When I think of the fashion industry, I think of the line in "Devil Wears Prada" about a million girls killing for those jobs. Or thinking about singers & the millions that attend open calls (i.e. American IdoL).

You do realize that singers all have clothing lines and can have everything from "lunchboxes" to doll collections to furniture lines. If you become THAT famous, you can incorporate all your dreams. I look up to Sean Combs for having the music and the clothing line.
The best it gets is having your dreams come true and not having to drudge at a typical job.
