I’m trying to translate this song to Spanish, I have already the translation but I have troubles in some expressions. I need to translate the ideas and not the words.

1. "Left standing in the lurch", the dictionary says that in the lurch is in a difficult or embarrassing position. Are you agreeing here, can you explain? My translation, if you know spanish, is "Te han dejado en verguenza"

2."The reality came around", Come around:-To recover, revive: fainted but soon came around. Or - To change one's opinion or position. I guess that is change the direction but what do you think?

3."And without so much", as a mere touch. Is it similar to “And without even a mere touch”? It means that there is not touch? Or that the touch is almost nothing?

4."I truly am indeed". Here mean that he really needed to Good in that hour of need or he is intensifying that he is alone.

For xmas i am getting my best friend a mini trumpet. On the stand it sits on i want to engrave this saying: "A friend is someone who knows the song in your heart, and can sing it back to you when you have forgotten to words." I'm only 34 years old but grew up in the foothills of West Virginia. I am in no way "redneck." I have all of my teeth, am college educated and own shoes. In fact few people would guess that I even listen to country music by looking at me. But I love it. New and old - but especially the old. Gene Watson, Merle Haggard, Johnny Rodriguez, Charlie Rich, Charlie Pride, George Jones. The list goes on and on. I would love to meet an attractive girl my age who likes it as well.
