Seems like the more I listen to it, the more I think it's a great album that could have gotten more applause if it didn't happen to follow their gem The Joshua Tree. What do you think?

I won a bet with my brother and over Christmas break he will have to dress up in the outfit of my choosing (I have the perfect dress and accessories) and sing 5 karaoke songs for myself and 2 of my friends and we get to pick the songs. We're trying to come up with the 5 most humiliating we can come up with and so far we thought of Don'tcha, Man I Feel Like a Woman, and Not a Girl. I know there are a lot of other ones out there. We're looking for the 2 other most embarrassingly girly songs for a guy to sing. Help!

Lately I've been listening to big, epic-sounding tunes, like classic songs like Oh Fortuna. I also like Nightwish, a slightly opera-sounding metal group. Their music is lovely but still, y'know, in your face. I also enjoy Trans-siberian Orchestra's non-christmas CD entitled Beethoven's Last Night.

Does anyone know of any groups and/or songs that are similar to these?

"The Nut Rocker" by Marc Bonilla? It's AWESOME! It's a rocked-out remix of three songs from the Nutcracker...Trepak, March of the Nutcracker, and another one that I don't know. It's really, really good! I'm not sure who came out with the album, but it's called "Little Drummer Boys". Anyone who loves rock should check it out!

I have been learning piano for 5 years. one year ago, I quitted learning piano and I havent play piano for one year. two days ago, I heard the piece Hungarian Rhapsody No. 2 and dam it I LOVE it so badly. I wanted to memorize and master this piece!!!

what should I do?? I didnt start with the first page of the piece. I started with "Friska" part and I found it challenging!!! because my hand is not "big"!!! The most I can go across is "Doh-reh(9-key)". and I heard a lot from ppl, saying Liszt's songs are hard to master since he has a big hand, as a result, all his songs "require " a big hand to play.

so is it true that I could not master this piece?? any advice please!!!!!

=(

and the vocalists that accompanied the bands during that era.....big band era (swing era) being the mid 1930s to the late 1940s.

I think there was alot of great music during that time but really only hear comments about it from jazz enthusiasts or people really into brass/woodwind sounds.

"But the fantasy slipped as he tipped her in cigarettes
She tries to smile very graciously when she wants to kill him
Now the victory is sweet, you'll get down on your knees
It's the perfect position for kissing western leather"...

Is it a true story?

I was listening to the radio when the christmas song called "The Gift" played. I had heard it sung before by Garth Brooks, but this particular song was sung by, what the radio gal said, was a 12 year old little girl, or something. I tried to remember the name given but obviously forgot. When she sang the song, it sounded almost celtic. I loved this version and would be ever so greatful if someone can tell me the singers name! THANKS!

Some lyrics that are from the song...
"The Gift"
Written By: Stephanie Davis
"A poor orphan girl named Maria
Was walking to market one day
She stopped for a rest by the roadside
Where a bird with a broken wing lay
A few moments passed till she saw it
For its feathers were covered with sand
But soon clean and wrapped it was traveling
In the warmth of Maria's small hand..."

note: stephanie davis was not the little girl who sang this particular version...
