Tough call . . . I saw three awesome shows this year.

Elton John - with bad seats

DMB and the Rolling Stones - with great seats but drunken girl with pointy elbows thrashing into me

and
Counting Crows - with best seats ever but in the freezing cold with people who like to shove.

I'll go with Counting Crows I LOVE concerts!

Three things for me.

1. Foo Fighters acoustic concert (including The Dave Grohl Show - lol!) at the Sydney Opera House in October. Great venue, awesome show, amazing atmosphere.

2. Discovering Brissie band The Butterfly Effect. I have been playing "Imago" and "Begins Here" for about 6 months now and I LOVE these guys.

3. Following from the last, broadening my musical tastes and realising how much music is out there that I love (and in turn spending a large percentage of my income at JB HiFi).

Been a great music year!

Seeing Robbie Williams perform at Suncorp Stadium, Brisbane, Australia on December 13 2006.
Without a doubt, the best time I've had in a long while. A fantastic show from an incredible singer.

Kylie's first Melbourne show on Sunday. Our very own 'singing budgie' is all grown up....a diva, raven, sex kitten rolled into one. The sound from the audience as she emerged (literally) onto the stage was deafening...and we all shed tears of joy and love.
My 8 year old daughter (who's normally very shy) spent the entire concert dancing on her chair, arms waving, the biggest smile on her face...truly delightful. The concert was especially important for my daughter as she lost a friend to cancer a couple of years ago - she was devastated last year when the concert was cancelled because Kylie was sick. She expected the worst, because that's all she knew. So, to see her idol fit and healthy (and more beautiful than ever) showed her that survival is possible.
My favourite moment: Somewhere Over The Rainbow ...the girl really can sing (not that I ever doubted it [!?!]).

Big Day Out at the Gold Coast : ) Properly the biggest Music Festival Every Year. Being in the mosh for Mudvayne when the power cut out after their first song. It was crazy! Everyone started merging forward and screaming after Mudvayne walked off lol.... It was awesome plus they had a really good line up : ) good memories

When I sat on my front porch one evening this summer and listened to an outdoor concert that was a held a few blocks from my house. I've never seen the band live before, but I grew up with them... and that night I could hear the lead singer and the rest of the band as clear as day as they sang, "Get Off Of My Cloud".

Mick and the boys rocked this city for two days, and though I never saw the concert... I sure heard it. :)

Kylie's showgirl comeback tour. The fans were so happy to have her back after a year or so of the concert being delayed. No one cared about the fact that we had waited so long. She got such a long clap. We all even cheared when they bought water out to her on the stage. No one cared she couldn't do the concert as upbeat etc. Everyone was just happy she was alive and that she had beaten the breast cancer. It was the most emotional concert I have ever been to.
