The only word i remember are like 7 or 8 seconds of the word "whoa". The pitch starts low then varies from low to medium then goes higher at the end. Whooaa Whoao Whoao Whoao WHOA Whoa-oa. This is probably the worst descripton ever but it might click with someone. This has been killing me for months.

Aside from a few people that I like, like Michelle Branch, I don't really like girls singing. Music that I love to hear and sing is all written by guys. This doesn't provide a problem for singing at home (most songs are unisex anyway,) but if I really want to go somewhere...I SO don't have the voice to sing like the Flyleaf chick, maybe with the exception of So I Thought (Sorry I don't know her name. XD) It just sounds odd to hear me singing these punk pop/rock songs. :P

Smoothley! thats the key. ive currently written a song with a very simple (cliche) progression:

C - Gm7 - Am

Its not in that order, I go from the C to the Gm7 and add the Am in every once in a while. I know its simple but I have a really nice hook with this progression, any ideas on how to spice it up? Maybe go into a minor key? I dont really understand how that works. Any ideas would be helpful. Thanks a lot. Rock on guys =)

Maurice Ravel, composer of Bolero, was a member of a group of musicians and artists at the turn of the 19th Century who called themselves "apaches". Is this just a reference to Native Americans, or is there another meaning? Is the word even derived from the Indian reference or is it an entirely separate word? Every week I do a TOP TEN music topic on my myspace site (myspace.com/eaglezphan). This week's topic is TOP 10 breakup songs. The songs about love gone wrong that rip your guts out every time you listen to the lyrics. You guys know what I mean, those songs we play OVER & OVER, usually late at night and in the dark. It doesn't matter how long it's been - we here these songs and the memories spark up all over again. I think I have a good list going in my head, but it's not set in stone, so any other input would be awesome!!!
