For me, it has to have been Steve and Edie Gorme covering BLACK HOLE SUN on a lounge music CD from about 10 years ago. It was actually pretty good, but a strange choice of Artist+Material.

the story is about a guy that gets up at 5 a.m. and gets in the car, the seats are cold, going to get his girlfriend (her parents are out of town), she's balled up on the couch. They drive to the city to have an abortion and he can't go in with her so he sells what he has to buy her some flowers. The drive home is silent..... if you know this much you know the rest.
