I'm looking for some new music to listen to. Bands along the lines of Taking Back Sunday, Cartel, Motion City Soundtrack, Something Corporate, The Academy Is..., etc.
Nothing too hardcore tho

Why do young people like bubble gum music?

And then when people get older, they are ashamed that they liked this stuff?

Such as boy bands?

So many girls love boy bands when they are pre-teens and so on.

And then when they get older, they pretend they never liked this stuff. Why doest this stuff attract young people? Why does it attract anyone at all period ?

Need to ask, which band was the first TRUE indie band? I've always said Joy Division were, but a recent NME article seems to think that indie is only about 20 or so years old.
When I say indie I mean raw, meaningful music, not bad punk rip-offs or pop trying to be indie.

I have just listened to the new Beales CD "LOVE" and was truely amazed! Those old sngs sounded brand new to me, the mixing is incredible. Taking multiple songs and mixing them together to create a new version.
Just wanted to know what other people's views were.
