If someone was designing a spaceship to travel to the sun, why would anybody in their right mind would name it "Icarus"? Fantastic movie though, watch it. Seriously. Very cynical, very nasty. Great ending. And Cillian Murphy looks great in it.

"Raiders of the Lost Ark" was the first Indiana Jones movie . "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom" was the second one, but it took place before "Raiders of the Lost Ark" . I don't know here "Indian Jones and the Last Crusade" fits in . What years did the Indiana Jones movies take place, and what order do they go in ?

I think it came out in the 70's or '80's. Another film that was somewhat similar called "Witchboard" (1987) was being show about that time too.

The plot involved girl who comes in possession of a samauri sword which is possessed by the original Samurai who's spirit controls her into avenging wrongs.

I had thought it was called "Witchblade" but that's a TV series starring Yancy Butler. This was a movie, not a TV Series.

Anyone recognize this?......

Chevy Chase buys the station wagon from the steryotypical Jewish car salesman ...curly hair,big nose,con man, cheap blue leisure suit.

And there is the ghetto scene when he takes the wrong exit off the freeway in St Louis.

I feel like the movies take away from how you perceive the characters by reading the books, especially once the films began portraying the characters wearing normal (muggle) clothes on an everyday basis.

what do you think about the characters as they're portrayed in the films:

is hermione too pretty?
is luna too cute to be loony lovegood?
should ron be taller?

Personally, I think hermione's appearance should have remained more consistent with the first movie. Her entrance at the Yule Ball in Book IV should show a vast difference between everyday hermione and sophisticated beautiful hermione. I think this scene in the movie didn't carry much weight b/c she looked just like she had the entire movie, except for a dress.

What do you guys think? which Pirates of the Carribean film is the best? 1, 2 or 3?
I personally thought Pirates of the Carribean 2 Dead mans chest was the best, i love the graphics and the film was so exciting, I think how they made a man look like Davy Jones was SOO COOOOOL XD!

I'm teaching a two-week class about movies to kids aged 10-13 at my local community college. One day's topic is actors; and, since my favorite is Al Pacino, I wanted to show either a clip or several clips from some of his movies.

What might be a good scene or scenes to show?

ok, the only things i can remember about this movie are that its about a brother and sister and they are really nerdy, then somehow they become the most popular kids in school. in one scene they are tanning and she is holding one of those silver cardboard things under her chin to help her tan. thats about all that i can remember of it but it was a great show for me when i was a kid. please help....thanks!!!!

I can't remember the name of the movie.
Some virus or something causes most of the people on the planet to disappear (no,they don't come out as zombies :P ) and there's this one guy who wanders the cities for food and in search of other people.
I think that a parody over that movie was made in an episode of "Weird Science".
That's all the info I can remember.Was a long time since I saw that movie.
