I feel like the movies take away from how you perceive the characters by reading the books, especially once the films began portraying the characters wearing normal (muggle) clothes on an everyday basis.
what do you think about the characters as they're portrayed in the films:
is hermione too pretty?
is luna too cute to be loony lovegood?
should ron be taller?
Personally, I think hermione's appearance should have remained more consistent with the first movie. Her entrance at the Yule Ball in Book IV should show a vast difference between everyday hermione and sophisticated beautiful hermione. I think this scene in the movie didn't carry much weight b/c she looked just like she had the entire movie, except for a dress.
who did you think would look different/who looked dead on?

I completely agree with what one comment said about Moaning Myrtle. She's aweful and old (she was born in 1965!)...her voice is pretty convincing though.
The Weasly Twins are dead on and I love their personalities- i really think they've developed from the first movie
Filch's character is amazing, david bradley really gets the character.
Emma Thompson is brilliant as Professor Trelawney and Maggie Smith plays McGonagall so well.
I hate new Dumbledoor. The end of the 4th movie, the farewell dinner where he honors Cedric, was nowhere near what I pictured and I don't think he sold it to me. I feel like he's going to die any second.

Fleur is nowhere near pretty enough to be half veela
And cedric was nowhere near hot enough to be cedric. If anything, Krum should have been Cedric and Cedric, Krum. Victor Krum was really good looking and really wasn't supposed to be.
