So many. As a result, I don't really have a top 5 - or anything remotely approaching it. However, if asked to pick out 5 movies that I adore and consider to be exemplary examples of fine movie making, I might select, for instance: 1. The Godfather, Part II - A sequel that equals its fantastic predecessor. 2. Back to the Future - Absolute classic. 3. Jurassic Park - See above. 4. Toy Story 2 - Funnier than the first and not as sad as the third. Toy Story 3 MAY be the superior film (debatable), but this second instalment is probably my favourite. 5. The Dark Knight - Love all of Burton's and Nolan's Batman movies. This one stands out as a sequel that transcends the original, however.

Towards the end of Mummy 2, Brendan Frasier and the bad guy are both hanging off the edge of this rift. Brendan is looking at his wife and yelling at her to stay back because he knows she will try to save him and he doesn't want her to get hurt, he would rather take the chance that he won't be able to save himself than chance her being hurt or killed, but of course she helps him as he knew she would. Now the bad guy saw all that happening, and you can see that he realizes that is what he wants and isn't sure he has it. So he looks towards his girl who is hanging back and looking frightened out of her wits, and he calls to her to ask her to come help him. She just looks at her like he is asking her to jump in, and then turns and runs away. He realizes that he doesn't really have her love, not like Brendon does, and probably never will, and finally just lets go.
Totally awesome set up, excellent execution by all the actors involved. I watch the movie for just this scene. A++

For me, it would have to be the end scene of Some Like It Hot. 'Nobody's perfect!'. That whole film is a joy to watch, but I always laugh at the end, even though I've seen it far too many times.
