i have to do a report on the book, phantom of the opera, but its a little confusing at points...especially at the end, so in the movie, what happens to determine the end? do christine and raoul die?

In nearly all of his films, Steven Spielberg features a scene with a shooting star. Apparently there is some significant reason for this, does anybody know what it is?

ideas for a movie/tv show:
one: a guy in the witness protection program falls in love with a woman he meets but has to suddenly leave when killers find him.
two: player and exdrug dealer falls in love with a conservative second grade teacher.
three: times of segregation. black man falls in love with white woman.
four: a girl from a bad part of the city has the ability to see the future. her father is in the mofia. after she`s gets into some trouble she goes to live with her uncle on mom`s side, but has some trouble adjusting.
five: two sisters were sepereated at birth(adopted). They are witches, and when they find each other they recieve their powers and the evil that follows.
six: a woman whose mother was burned at the stake for witchcraft makes a deal with a sea captains slave to be smuggled to the New World. They fall in love and risk everything to be together.

its quite old, french or italian i think (foreign language anyway) a little village has a new phone box put in and this pompos guy wants to be the first to use it, the door sticks fast and he cant get out, people try everything to get him out, eventually the phone company is called and the phone box with the man inside it is loaded on to the back of a truck and he is taken through the towns eventually seeing another guy in a phone box on the back of another truck. the truck finally comes to a cave in a mountain and the phone box is unloaded and when the guy looks around there are loads of phone boxes with dead and dying people in them!! this film freaked me out and if i hadnt saw it with my dad id think i dreamt it!! but ive never heard mention of it since. if you dont know the film can you suggest a website that might know? thanks for reading this enormously long question! cheers!

Okay I couldn't sit through the wole thing but what I seen of it I was not impressed. My husband says every time he watches it he gets something more and something diffrent from it. He loves it. Maybe its cause we have 6 kids between the 2 of us and I just littirally "CAN NOT" sit through it, let alone, enjoy the damn thing.Any suggestions how I can enjoy a movie without interuptions by our 11yr old, 9yr old, two 8yr olds, a 2yr old and a 1yr old?(besides running away?) And any opinions on the movie?
