i cannot BELIEVE that they cut everyones' hair! i know it was in a move to make them look younger. but its so weird!

I agree with you, but they didn't really cut everyone's hair. Emma's hair is actually a bit longer. Only Daniel had to have his hair cut. Personally, I both like and dislike his haircut. In a way, it makes him look older, more confident, more mature and stronger, which I think was the director's intention. But it also makes him look a bit awkward and unnatural, so I can see where you're coming from. Harry's hair is supposed to be untidy, and this new haircut makes him look more like Daniel than the character.
