In nearly all of his films, Steven Spielberg features a scene with a shooting star. Apparently there is some significant reason for this, does anybody know what it is?

Spielberg commented on his interest in the possibility of extra terrestrial life and how it has influenced some of his films. To that tradition of fascination with space, Spielberg has placed on several occasions, shooting stars in the background of his films such as in Jaws. Spielberg described himself as feeling like an alien during childhood,[2] and his interest came from his father, a science fiction fan, and his opinion that aliens would not travel lightyears for conquest, but instead curiousity and sharing of knowledge.[18]
