I have lots, and I watch them all every year (thank goodness for DVD)
I have to admit that the black and white version of "A Christmas Carol" with Alistair Simm is probably my favourite.

Well, in order to define the best Christmas movie, you must figure out what you are looking for. In my opinion, a Christmas movie must incorporate the spirit of the season (ie. giving, and love) as well as take place at Christmas (so no Christmas releases like "Ali") have true heart behind it's making (meaning it was obviously made for money but the story was written with heart and not $$ in mind), and be a story of change or re-birth
.
Taking those, plus other things, into consideration I would have to say that "Ernest Saves Christmas" is the best...wait that's not right.
Actually "It's a Wonderful Life" does fulfill the best things about a Christmas movie. The story not only surrounds a man's life, but is ultimately about change, family, love, and acceptance and what else could you want or need from a Christmas movie?
