I think Roger Moore played Bond in one more of the "approved" movies for a total of 7. "Approved" by the studios and the Broccoli producers.
Sean Connery starred in "Never Say Never Again", a remake of Thunderball which, if counted, would tie Roger Moore with 7 apiece.
Dalton was in 2
Brosnan was in 4
The first make of Casino Royale does not, IMHO, count!

Roger Moore. He was Bond in seven films: "Live and Let Die," "The Man With The Golden Gun," "The Spy Who Loved Me," "Moonraker," "For Your Eyes Only," "Octopussy," and "A View To A Kill."
Connery appeared in six films, George Lazenby in one, Timothy Dalton in two, and Pierce Brosnan in four.
Note: Connery's "Never Say Never Again" is based on "Thunderball," which was based on the novel of the same name that Bond creator Ian Fleming wrote after aborting a script he and movie producer Kevin McClory worked on. "Never" is not an "official" Bond film because it was not produced by Eon Productions, which owns the film rights.
Nevertheless, Connery was Bond from 1961 to 1971 -- with a break for Lazenby's appearance in "On Her Majesty's Secret Service" -- while Moore was Bond from 1973 to 1985.
