Ever feel so difficult to pick YA Best answer?

always feel so thankful to all who answer my questions, sometimes is so so so hard to pick one of all the great advise beause every1 take time to answer my questions, I wish I can tell them each thank you, and sometimes I limit down to two or three answer and then I sit there and can't decide which one is I am going to pick..

What are you doing here?

A depressed young woman was so desperate, that she decided to take her own life by throwing herself into the ocean. The girl nodded yes and thought what did she have to lose? That night, the sailor brought her aboard and hid her in a lifeboat. From then on, every night he brought her three sandwiches and a piece of fruit, and they made passionate love all night.
Three weeks later, during a routine search, she was discovered by the captain.
"What are you doing here?" the captain asked.
"I have an arrangement with one of the sailors, he's taking me to Europe"
"Europe madam..." said the captain "this is the Staten Island Ferry!"

Is the song "MacArthur Park" about a Vietnam Vet losing his lover?

I hear this song quite often because Waylan is one of my favorite country singers. I never have figured out what it means. One of my friends told me this weekend, that it was about a Vietnam Vet that lost both legs and an arm during the War and his girlfriend broke up with him because she could not handle his injuries. I've googled it and found the words, but nothing about what it means. Does anyone know anything else about this song?
