Who sings a country song, in the video he has a deep voice, he is with a band on the train?

I saw the video on CMT, it starts out with just a beat, and i believe he and the band are on a train and he has this reallllllllllllllllllllly deep voice, but he is a white man, and the song almost sounds like an african american song from older days.
