I used to be the production supervisor of a large mattress company based in Okla. Over 1/2 of our returns had no tag. The tag is just for the sellers not to remove, so the buyer will know the contents. On the other hand, some manufacturers use this as a way to see the date it was make, and can void your warranty if you can not prove date of purchase w/ a bill of sale for that very size brand and style.

The consumer/purchaser of the mattress is allowed to remove the tag. Besides, are you going to prosecute yourself? You may be a rebel, but sorry... this does not qualify to make you one.

I'm sorry to do this right before the holidays, but as a law abiding citizen, I have no choice but to call the cops on you. Hopefully, they'll go easy on you, but if they find the tags off the couch and chairs, too, I'm pretty sure you are going to be locked up for good!!!! Sorry. I gotta do the right thing here... I'm calling...
