Rewrite the sentences to make them more lively and effective. You can shift phrases and clauses, elimate needless repetition and cliches, and make any other changes to make these sentences better

1) I had never seen such reprehensible behaviour before

2) Anna felt grateful and thankful to have a chance of taking advantage of the oppurtunity of getting a good education

Please read this first!

What would the precise term be for the need an addict has for drugs after being away for one day too long? That craving? A want, a need, a desire... I can't find a strong enough word.

Secondly, what is the precise term for power, as in "control"? The term for having complete control over the life or death of a person?

See what you come up with, and then put them together, and you might see what I'm driving at.

Thank you!

Being held a food connoisseur, he may not have access
TO BREATHE SUCH VOWS AS LOVERS USE TO SWEAR.

I need to rework the second line so it fits with the rest of my parody, which has a food theme. Any ideas? What can't a food connoisseur do, or what doesn't he have access to? Thanks for all suggestions.
