Let the fuel efficiency in the city be x mi/ gallon THEN, the fuel efficiency on the highway WILL BE ( x+2) miles/ gallon Gallons used = 80/x + 30/ ( x+2) = 5 80 ( x+2) + 30x = 5x ( x+2) 80x +160 + 30x = 5x^2 +10x 5x^2 - 100x -160 = 0 x^2 - 20x - 32 = 0 x ^2 -20x = 32 ADD 100 x^2 -20x +100 = 132 ( x-10)^2 = 132 Rejecting the negative , x = 10 + 2\/33 mph ANSWER CHECK 10 + 2\/33 = 21.49 mph 80/21.49 = 3.72 gallons 30/ 23.49 = 1.28 gallons ADD = 5 gallons

The word you are looking for is indeed Rebus. However, most of them do not fit what you are looking for.

Dick Rogers writes them. You can find one on this page: http://www.unitedfeatures.com/ufsapp/viewFeatureSample.do?featureId=147&sampleId=1
