1. Realistic; sensible.
2. Not pretentious or affected; straightforward.
3. Not overly ornate; simple in style.

Yeah... basically, being "down to earth" means to be realistic. Like, you get what's going on and you're serious about it.

Being down to earth means being a person who isn't materialistic, have an attitude, or superficial. It is someone who can relate to what is really going on in the world on a very real level, and not be something they are not. This makes them down to earth, or a real person, not a bullsh*tter.

it means your "grown up". or mature, or you understand a lot of what goes on in the world around you.
example:
famous people. they make millions of dallers a year, get tons of free stuff, thay have no idea what it's like to have to WORRY about how they're going to surviv (pay the bills so their suppliers don't cut off their electricity and the freeze in the winter, feed their little children, pay the mortgage so their house isn't taken away from them). not trying to bad mouth everyone's favourite celebs, but it's not like i'm lying.

basically you are aware of life and the way things are, not how you want them to be or daydream them to be or wish they were or think they are. you spend more time on earth (hence the term) than in La-La Land. i guess i could have just said that that rambled on for 5 minutes. sorry... :P

It means you are not vain and self consumed. If your Heads in the clouds, its like you're larger and higher(more important) then everyone else. Being down to earth means you except you aren't.

Being down to earth means being natural, not phony in their actions. Down to earth girls would not play games, would be easy to talk to, and not use sex as a way to get/keep a guy. "Down to earth" girls are comfortable to be around, just as "down to earth" guys are. Sadly, we all think we have to put on a mask to be liked. "Down to earth" people have no masks, as they are so transparent and honest. Think mashed potatoes and gravy, turkey/chicken versus a meal in a sophisticated restaurant, which after you have eaten the small portion, makes you want more. Comfort food, comfort people.

It means that some women are smarter than men, so the men feel intimidated around them, and are more comfortable around women who are either stupid or simple (or both).

Bhagavan gave intelligence to women for their own protection and that of the children. And as my wife says, "It takes a lot of intelligence to hide your intelligence."

Final take: Be a smart girl. Just dont show it.

Down to earth means not full of oneself; grounded. Approachable, easy to talk to, non-Divalike behavior...a woman you can be both a friend and a lover to.

holy crap brian and maka are way off.

Down to earth is when someone is not conceded, big headed or full of themselves.
They put themselves on the same level as everyone else. Not thinking they are better than everyone.
