Which sentence has the correct grammer?

VERSION ONE:
The weakest and most vulnerable of the three branches is the judicial branch, whose abilities to decide cases HAVE been thwarted by the current administration.

VERSION TWO:
The weakest and most vulnerable of the three branches is the judicial branch, whose abilities to decide cases HAS been thwarted by the current administration.

Judicial branch is singular, but abilities is plural.

ps. i wrote the first one, and my parents corrected it to the second version.

I recieved my invitations and would like to add an additional personal hand written note regarding if the guest would like to come dressed with the 50's theme or as is their prefrence. Do You Know The Present (Tense) Form Of The Verb, 'Wrought' ?

Here is the famous 'Othello' Quote, (a self character study):

" Then Must You speak of one
That loved not wisely

Perplexed in the extreme'.

The word, 'Wrought' is in the past form and means 'cause something (the change) to happen'. Do you know what is the Present Form of this verb 'Wrought' & whether it is in use?

Appropriate pair of words (synonyms) for beginning and end?

I'm looking for a pair of words that describes the two ends of a metamorphosis/growth process but NOT the middle. I would prefer nouns.

I have currently "originality/finality". Other pairs include:
Genesis/Terminus
Potential/Realisation

The first word of the pair describes agency, ambition, trust, autonomy/will, initiative, industry.
