This question is from the show Are You Smarter than a 5th Grader:
How many possessive pronouns are there in the sentence:
"John asked Mary if he could borrow her bike because his had a flat tire."
I believe the answer given as correct in the show was wrong. What do you think? Please, don't just give a number, say why you think there's an X number of possessive pronouns. Thanks.

"I pre-ordered a book" - as opposed to having ordered a book.
"I am collecting pre-paid tickets" - as opposed to collecting paid tickets. How can you pre-pay for something. With tickets and books etc. you ALWAYS pay in advance! Has the whole world gone "pre" mad?

In wherever civilization can it be better answered which comes,
"origin" or "ends"

I suggest as a logical basis, Ends of something open the chance for a new origin . So it is interpreted interchangebly with origin itself as the end vice versa
