As in the exclamation. E.g. "Wow, that's so cool! ". But when you're so bowled over you can only say 'Wow', rather than a whole sentence.

I'm writing a script and I want the Hero to hear the Heroine say something really brave, and be so taken aback by it, (partly because he's in love) that all he can say is 'Wow' - but I'd rather use a different word!

do you find that these people who criticise your spelling mistakes (if you have forgot to use the spell checker) never really answer the question you have asked in the first place.... or is there sole purpose to tell people that they can`t spell ???? let the people decide... thank you and good day to you all

A new friend of mine was going on about how he knew a language with all the words based on various flavors of coffee. He claimed that he found the dialect therefor (created by a jaded Starbucks worker) online. I believe he called it the 'Mocha Latte Language.'

Was it just me or was he bluffing? And if not, where can I learn this strange caffeine lingo?

Which one is right for that sentence?

Please include a source, or she won't believe me. Haha.

Hi,
I want to be able to convey sth, but cant't seem to find the appropriate phrase to say it. Like say, sbdy comes up to you and asks a question, and you want to be able to say that you though you had the information and came in touch with it, you dont remember it offhand(and cant tell it immediately without referring anything), you would have to probably refer sth(tutorial, diary, ask someone) to tell the answer.

How to say it?
Could I say: I don't have it on my (finger)tips? or I dont have it in the top of my mind? or I cant tell it offhand? or plainly: I can't recall now?
Any suggestions?
Thanks

I am wondering where the saying exactly originated from and what is the meaning. I am trying not to intellectualize it too much, but I am very interested in the saying origin details. I hear my younger family members saying it and have seen it around. I would appreciate any answers and sources you may have.
