It is an interesting quotation.
What it means is that when a person or a society treats you as an inferior person, it is your job to assess yourself and know how good you are relative to others. Unfortunately, it is usually human nature to feel like others tell you to feel. There are extremely important studies that show that religious or racial groups that are discriminated against often believe without even knowing so that they are inferior.
One of the more famous studies proved that African-American girls preferred white Barbies. A study of this kind was presented as a science experiment by a Boulder School District student and the science project was removed from the science fair. The related articles are available on the Internet.

I agree with the quote. And more importantly, who try to make others feel inferior are usually the ones with an inferiority complex. If you're around someone who's attempting to make you feel inferior, then move on and find friends who are supportive. That's what friends are for.

I agree. If you don't believe what someone has said or done to you...then you ignore it and don't give it energy. But if you buy into it then you are "consenting" to that persons belief/perception about you....you are giving it energy.
Sounds like something Dr. Phil would say.

I personally think we should be concentrating on what our creator says and feels about our worth and value. How are we to be a fair judge of ourselves or others? If we instead depend on what God says, everyone will get a balanced assessment of what we are worth. As human beings, our feelings cannot be trusted for such judgment due to various factors causing us to be unreliable. However, God can be relied upon to hold true forever. His authority rests on the fact that He valued each of us enough to give His own life up for us by dying on the cross. He was then raised from the dead on the third day to ascend into Heaven so His Spirit could return to live in us and give us power to trust in Him. We also have the power to love and to forgive. In humility, it is my prayer that we all strive to spread His kind of love, forgiveness and a peace that passes understanding.

"No one can make you feel inferior without your permission."
Eleanor Roosevelt.
I believe it means that in order for someone to make you feel bad about yourself, you have to agree with what they are saying, and by agreeing you are giving them permission.
If you don't agree with what they are saying? Permission to make you feel bad is denied and their statement is reduced to being "just their opinion".
Everyone has a right to their own opinion but we don't have to buy into other people's opinion of us.

False.
There are a lot of things I'm not good at, and it doesn't matter whether or not I consented to it. I am never going on the basketball court with Lebron James again. Doesn't matter what I do, he wins.

It's true to a degree. It's hard for us not to listen when people continually tell us we are dumb, but we just need to stop listening to them. So if we don't let it bother us, and know that we are not inferior, then we are not allowing are self to feel that way.

It's a mis-quote, and the omission changes its meaning.
The proper quote is "No one can make you FEEL inferior without your consent."

it think it is accurate. a strangers opinion of you doesn't matter-only your own and those you love. you can refuse the judgment of all others(friend and stranger) and stand alone or refuse the strangers opinion but accept and align your opinion to that of those you love. OR be as a rain and go with the flow refusing anything that requires individuality or judgment.
just my opinion but the problem comes when those that should listen to others don't and those that should not listen to others do---gotta love the paradox
