my friends keep saying mb 2 me and idk what it means, help???!

they say mb in a sentence, i think it means my bad but im not entirely sure

idk means "I don't know". mb means "my bad" as in, "my mistake".

could you put it into some form of context? how do they use it? in a sentence or on it's own?
if you have an idea of what it means why not just run it by them "hey when you say mb does it mean my bad? or what" i am fairly new to the im talk and have to ask my friends often to run something by me again
