I realize that we all have words that we favor to express ourselves but why is this word so used in the african american culture, Is it something that they are proud of and practice. In their culture is it good or bad to be a m*****f******?

Recently I overheard a woman say "my house needs painted." At first, I thought it was a simple slip up, but then she said "my car needs serviced."

Is she from some part of the country that routinely drops the "to be," or does she shun Shakespeare?

It is often used in titles, but exact meaning is not clear. Associate Senior Administrator, Associate Chief Engineer, Associate Specialist, Associate Partner etc. What makes position (duties, reporting, type of hire or other) different compared to one without word associate in it. Thanks!!

What mistakes bother you the most. I see "whip cream" a lot, instead of "whipped cream" and "Belgium waffles" instead of "Belgian waffles." Another good one is "expresso" instead of "espresso." What little misuses of words bother you the most?

I'm trying to remember a bunch of protist types... the first letters for each name, in this order (I need to remember them in this order) are:

DEASCARC

anybody have an idea about how to remember this? I'm trying to think of a sentence you could easily remember, where each letter represents the first letter of a word in that sentence. thanks for the help.
