The Welsh word for home is CARTREF - when you are actually referring to the place you call home; i.e. my home is FY NGHARTREF [the C mutates here]
However if you wish to say that you are e.g. going home then it is MYND ADREF. ADREF is the word for a non specific home.

Cartref is the usual word for home in the sense of being at home or referring to ones' home. However, North (Welsh)
and South (Welsh) do differ slightly.

home - (adj.) cartrefol
at home - (adv.) gartref
make home - (v.) cartrefu [cartref-]
return home - (v.) adrefu [adref-]
to home - (adv.) adref (adra)
{ "Adre" is used in S. Wales; "adra" in N. Wales. }

towards home - (adv.) adref (adra)
{ "Adre" is used in S. Wales; "adra" in N. Wales. }

home - (adv.) adref (adra), gartref
{ "Adre" is used in S. Wales; "adra" in N. Wales. }

home - (n.) addef [m.], adlam [-au, m.], adwedd [m.], aelwyd [-ydd, f.], cartref [-i, -ydd, m.], tref [-i, -ydd, f.]
{ Adlam is home as in a target to which a homing pigeon returns. }

It depends on the context.
'A home' is 'cartref.'
'Going home' would be..'mynd adref. '
'I'm living at home' would be..'Dwi'n byw gartref.'
'His home'........'Ei gartref.'
'Her home'........'Ei chartref.'
'My home'..........'Fy nghartref.'

Homely is cartrefol

The c is changed to g,ch or ngh depending on which mutation is needed.

Too much information??...stick to..........CARTREF
