I loved working at a movie theater when I was in college. I worked at the candy stand in a small theatre. In between films, I had 45 minutes or so to study, and of course, I got to watch free movies!
Good luck!

If what you need is good money then a bartenter is what i recommend.
I was a bartender for 3 1/2 years while in school. It paid for everything i needed. The tips were really good, the hrs were great (long shifts on the weekend and short shifts in the evening during the week), they paid me 4.25 an hr but i got an average of 200.00 per week night and averaged 450.00 per night on fri's and sat's. (my biggest night was 775.00 on superbowl sunday last year). Just be sure to find a place that is popular on most nights and not just on fri's and sat's. To get certified as a bartender and to get my license was 200.00 for the course and 50.00 to get my certification (which is needed by most places)
I just recomend if you go this route, use your paycheck to pay for your taxes, if you dont, you will owe a bunch of taxes. What i did was i had them take out a set amount for taxes (200.00 every two weeks) then what ever small amout i got in my check (usually about 150 to 250) i put in a savings account to use if i needed it at tax time (but because i was in school and got the associated tax breaks that come with that, i didn't have to use very much (i usually got back less that 100 dollars) but one year i owed about 125.
It was the most fun ive had at a job, and i met a lot of people (as well as fellow classmates) while working there. I still bartend at a club once a week for some extra cash on saturday nights. I love it.

I actually worked in the computer labs while I was in school. All I had to do (pretty much) was be a warm body and make sure that no one brought food or drinks into the lab. It's didn't pay all that much, but enough. The downtime in order to do my homework was priceless!
Another job Ihad was working in a call center. The pay was much better and I still had some decent downtime between calls.
It's not easy to give advice on this one...I guess it depends on your major and if you are looking for a job on or off campus. (?)

If your state has workstudy, go for it! It will help get your foot in doors you wouldn't otherwise get into, plus they tend to pay a bit more than if you went out and got a job on your own. They do have restrictions of hours per week you can work (I know our workstudy student has a limit of 18 hrs per week) but your employer can override that if they really like you and wish to have you help them out more.

Try to get something related to your major... If not working at a bank is a great job. You usually start out at at least 8.50 If not more and after a certain amount of days you get benefits. I loved it!

As long as it pays real money, I'd take it. (Hey, its not like you're going to work where ever it is forever; you just need some spending cash.)
