20 years ago, a plane is flying at 20,000 ft, over the old country Germany when 2 of the engines fail, the pilot realising that the last remaining engine was failing, decides a crash landing procedure, but unfortunately the engine fails before time and the plane crashes smack bang in the middle of "No Man's Land", the land between East Germany and West Germany in the middle of the Berlin Wall. Where would you bury the survivors: East Germany, West Germany or in "No Man's Land?"

There's clearly no "x" in the word. Why do people always add it? Please don't make any racial or southern cracks. I was hoping for some semblance of a real answer here. :)

Submission

Beloved, I'm loyal and submissive out of duty;

You radiate a mesmerizing beauty.

****

Poetic words crush the healing heart;

As you lie out of obligatory duty.

Cursed and cruel are your loving ways;

The seduction still thrives throughout all these days.

Do you ever call out to another love?

The blessings and curses linger from up above.

Desire fuels the last ember of a fire;

The midday sun blazes with the blushed face of a liar.

We've reached the end of the eternal night;

While the last angel takes his midnight flight.

This is what an editor from a poetry magazine said about it:

While you have an excellent command of the vocabulary, your poems all lack a rhythmic quality, a smooth flow. Your underlying metaphors are complicated and obtuse, which detracts from the theme of the poem.

There are several shining moments in your poems but then they lose sight of the message being sent. If every line of your poems relates back to the title, it will give them a greater continuity. Also be cautious of the use of second person

A young lady sent me an email and informed me that I make her skin crawl. Since she has not replied back to my question, does anyone know the meaning of this expression? I'm assuming it has some sort of sexual connotation, which, if that is the case, I am flattered, but not interested.

Your head is confused,
your heart is bruised.
Feeling wreckless,
your hopes are betless.
There's only one person you can find.
You know they'll soothe your mind.
You can tell them what you're feeling,
they'll give you healing.
Say they love you.
Tell you it's true.
Baby, it's amazing how those words
can be my heart's own cure.
They wash away the pain,
your love's support I gain.
It's simple, it's true.
It's me, it's you.

I see these trms used, but they often seem interchangable and I want to know if I'm missing some subtlety. Are there times when one word would be appropriate but not the others?

To make this easier on you, here are (American Heritage) dictionary definitions:

au·ral: Of, relating to, or perceived by the ear.
au·di·to·ry: Of or relating to hearing, the organs of hearing, or the sense of hearing.
a·cous·tic: Of or relating to sound, the sense of hearing, or the science of sound.
son·ic: Of or relating to audible sound.

In context: "aural style sheet", "acoustic control", "visual and auditory information", "sonic energy".
