You have reached 934-2435. We picked this machine up at a garage sale in "as-is" condition. You can try to leave a message on it, but we are not sure it will be recorded. If we don't return your call, it means the machine did not work.

I drive him to school and wherever we want to go, buying way-too-large drinks at the convenience store that are poor for our health and everything, we are best friends. But he is Special Ed., and we are lucky to have him be kind, and helpful in every way he can. He plays jokes and understands his emotions well. Emotions. That's where we have problems. He is very capable, but he does not do his homework correctly, because hew thinks it is a funny joke. What kind of reinforcement can I use with him, to encourage good behavior(learning), and discourage bad behavior(joking)?

My boss's daughter is ten, and can't read. She has a hard time comprehending things, remembering things, although she seems very bright. She's not mentally retarded, or anything like that. I have minimal knowledge about dyslexia and wanted to know if the schools test for this? She has been in LD for 4 years now but sadly hasn't helped her learn to read...she can't hardly recognize the letters no less read words. If anyone has any links for information, or information about how to get her tested for this, whether the public school system will test her or what....I'd appreciate any info you can give me that I can pass on!

I'm also wondering what kind of lifestyle I would have to lead while studying. I don't party alot but I will have to work.

FM Listening Systems let teachers talk into a hand-held microphone, which transmits the sound of the teacher's voice directly to a deaf or hard of hearing child's hearing aid. This transmission happens on reserved radio spectrum 216-217 MHz. Many retailers of products for deaf and hard of hearing people carry personal FM systems.

I use this term to apply to children and adults who need special accomodations, techniques, and tools to be able to learn in school and participate in society. The terms handicapped, retarded, learning disabled are so negative, but they do communicate that an individual needs physical, mental or emmotional support.

"Special Education" as a category may be too vague or just not understood.

Can we come up with language that accuratly communicates the topic without being offensive to the people who are in need of crutches, wheel chairs, communication boards, specially trained teachers, therapists, etc.?

My son is currently waiting for I.E.P Assessment until it's done he will continue going to his regular class in the morning and attending this other class for kid's with autism in the evening.
My son know how to say a few words and do things on his own and sit and watch TV, sit down and eat his dinner, he know how to do alot of things on his own, me and my husband notice how the teacher and her assistants was amazed how he understood how to do things and how well he played by him self and tell them he has to go to the bathroom.
The only thing i see in her class is play time no learning skills, me and my husband feel his more advice then this class.
